I also continue to regularly undertake numerous shorter courses (not listed here) and am committed to continuing my professional development.
My core training is as an Integrative Counsellor. This includes training in the main models of counselling and psychotherapy – the Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and the Psychodynamic. This enables me to offer a helping relationship that is flexible and informed.
The Humanistic traditions are my main influence and closest to my own personality. In short, to me this means creating a non-judgmental relationship, understanding that you are the expert on you, creating a space where you feel understood. To work in collaboration with you so that you can discover and enact creative solutions that suit you and your life.
While I work primarily as a counsellor I sometimes thread Hypnotherapy into my work where it feels relevant. While working on-line this can involve the use of visualizations and/or providing recordings to listen to outside of sessions to help support the work.
